How we work

Six steps.
No mystery.

A footwear program runs on a calendar. Here is ours, from first conversation to first delivery — and what we need from you at each step.

The six steps

01

Brief

Who it's for, where it sells, what it has to cost. We tell you straight what's realistic.

02

Concept

Silhouettes, lasts, constructions, materials. Sketches and a first line plan.

03

Development

Tech packs, spec sheets, component sourcing, cost engineering.

04

Sampling

Pull-overs, then confirmation samples. Fit, wear-test, revise.

05

Production

Factory allocation, QC, timelines, compliance and testing.

06

Delivery

Freight, customs, packaging, and everything that has to happen before the first pair sells.

What happens at each step

01

Brief

A short conversation, then a written brief. Who the shoe is for, where it sells, what it has to retail for, when it has to land. We reply with an honest read: what is realistic, what is not, and what we would do instead.

  • You bring: references, price target, quantities, calendar
  • We return: feasibility read, proposed scope, indicative costing
02

Concept

Silhouettes, lasts, constructions, materials and color. Sketches and a first line plan, presented as range boards you can react to quickly.

  • You bring: feedback, sign-off on direction
  • We return: range boards, line plan, target BOM
03

Development

Tech packs and spec sheets, component sourcing, factory briefing and cost engineering to the target. This is where the price gets protected.

  • You bring: final assortment, order-of-magnitude quantities
  • We return: tech packs, BOM, FOB quotes, sample calendar
04

Sampling

Pull-overs to confirm shape, then confirmation samples in final materials. Fit and wear-tested, revised, graded. Salesman and photo samples as needed.

  • You bring: fit feedback, approval
  • We return: confirmation samples, grading, approved spec
05

Production

Factory allocation and capacity, production calendar, materials in, in-line and final inspection, testing and retailer compliance.

  • You bring: purchase order, packaging and labeling requirements
  • We return: production schedule, QC reports, compliance documents
06

Delivery

Freight, customs, warehousing in San Diego if you need it, routing to retailers or your 3PL — and a post-mortem so the next season is easier.

  • You bring: ship-to and routing guides
  • We return: landed goods, documents, next-season recommendations
Engagement models

Three ways to engage.

Design only

Concept through tech pack. You produce elsewhere, or with a factory we introduce.

Sourcing only

You have the design. We have the factories, the costing and the QC.

Turnkey

Brief to delivered goods, packaging included. The way we run our own labels.
